Consap

Description: Consap is a locally acting, non-hormonal herbal spermicidal contraceptive cream developed from the saponins obtained from soap nuts (Reetha) collected from the plant Sapindus mukorosii. It has been observed to be free from systemic side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, irregularities in the menstrual cycle and has additional antitrichomonas activity. Consap has been approved by the Drugs Controller General of India for its marketing and use.
