Dermaseptin S4 Derivatives

Description: Dermaseptins are a group of peptides derived from the skin of the Phyllomedusa sauvagei from. These compounds display antimicrobial and spermicidal activity. While the exact mechanism of spermicide has not been discovered, S4 contains positive charges, resulting in attraction to phosphatidylglycerol in the sperm plasma membrane.
