Description: Tripterygium wilfordii is a plant in the botanical family Celastraceae common to China. A derivative of Tripterygium wilfordii, triptolide, has been shown to produce significantly lowered sperm density, with the remaining sperm incapable of swimming effectively. Other derivatives have also been studied.
